CII seminar on attracting investments in textile sector

Building on the success of the last edition of Texcon 2012, organised in association with Ministry of Textiles, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) North Zone is organizing the second edition of its flagship event on textiles & apparel industry – Texcon 2013 on Friday, 19th July 2013 at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi.

Mr K S Rao, Minister for Textiles, Government of India is being invited as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the conference. The governments of Bihar and Rajasthan have confirmed their association as partner states.

The keynote address will be given by Mr G Gherzi – CMD of Switzerland based Gherzi Textil Organisation on “Global Textile Industry Scenario potential for attracting Investment in India”.

The key theme of the seminar is attracting global investments in to the Indian textile and garment industry. Plenary sessions will include discussions on “Investment Outlook: Global Presence & Competitiveness” and “Emergence of Textile & Apparel Clusters as the growth engines for Industry.

The last session will see a panel discussion on “Attracting Investments: Opportunities & Challenges”. The seminar has been able to attract global and Indian experts for the plenary sessions and panel discussion.
