Esquel to host 'Sustainability Symposium' from Aug 12-14

China has witnessed dramatic changes in the past three decades. The country is no longer simply the "world's biggest factory," but has also become a key market and a major global economy. Along with these fast-going changes, the economic and social landscape in China has also been shifting. Innovative strategies are arising and a new paradigm of sustainability has also emerged.

The 2013 Esquel Sustainability Symposium - Be Green and Innovative will bring together experts in government, academia, NGOs and industry to explore solutions in environment and resources, sustainable production, waste management, as well as public policy, corporate responsibility and market access.

Qian Guanlin, Vice Chairperson of the Population Resources and Environment Committee of the CPPCC; Ma Xiuhong, Vice Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC; Professor Hau Lee, Director of Stanford University Sustainability Center; Ma Jun, Director of the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) and key Chinese government officials are among the key note speakers at The 2013 Esquel Sustainability Symposium - Be Green and Innovative. Other speakers and participants include officials and directors from the commercial sector, academia and NGOs.
