Methanex announces August contract prices for Methanol

Methanex, the world's largest supplier of methanol to major international markets in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America, has announced regional contract methanol prices.
For the Asia-Pacific region, the contract price would be US$ 450/mt, for the period August 1-31, 2013, according to the company’s website.
Similarly, for the North American region, non-discounted reference price would be US$ 1.60/Gal or US$ 532/mt, valid between August 1 and 31, 2013.
However, the European posted contract price would remain unchanged at Euro 390/mt, valid from July 1- September 30, 2013.
Methanol is an organic chemical that is used in the textile industry in manufacturing processes.
