According to the data, of the total expenditure on textiles, 45 percent of the costs relate to the purchase of items for women, 36 percent is related to the articles purchased for men, 17 percent is children’s items and 2 percent is textiles and haberdashery articles.

By region, the statistics indicated that the Southeast region of Brazil led the expenses, with a 46.3 percent expenditure on textile products, followed by the Northeast (20.6 percent), South (18.9 percent), North (7.2 percent) and Midwest (6.9 percent).
