HC Petrochem operates No.2 aromatics plant at reduced rate

Hyundai Cosmo (HC) Petrochemical Ltd. is operating its Daesan, South Korea-based No.2 aromatics plant at reduced rate.
“The No. 2 aromatics plant is running at 80 percent operating rates due to lower Mixed Xylene (MX) – Para Xylene (PX) spread,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The Daesan-based plant has capacity to produce 800,000 mt/year of PX.
According to the official, HC Petrochemical has no planned maintenance turnarounds this year.
