Polyester POY and DTY offers decline in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1485/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton.   
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1120/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1325/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1240/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were steady in the European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1430/ton and €1085/ton, respectively.  
 
MEG prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1125/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8275/ton to RMB 8325/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed at RMB 10200/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1520/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady at RMB 10550/ton, RMB 12150/ton, and RMB 10700/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY declined to US$ 1470/ton and US$ 1690/ton, respectively, while FDY prices remained steady at US$ 1480/ton.
