Southeast Asian PX prices rise; PTA drop

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton.   
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1090/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1090/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1105/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton. 
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1325/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dropped and were assessed in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.500 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market to US$ 1395.ton and were steady in the domestic market at €1085/ton.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices fell and were offered at US$ 1085/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton. 
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1480/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices fell and were quoted at RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained stable trend in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were stable in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1520/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices maintained steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 10350/ton to RMB 10375/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased to RMB 10650/ton and RMB 10750/ton, respectively, while DTY remained steady at RMB 12150/ton. In the export market, offers for both POY and FDY surged to US$ 1485/ton, DTY remained steady at US$ 1690/ton.
