In the world of intimate apparel, the consumer today wants it all- playful style, transformational fashion and comfort! Keeping these things in mind, INVISTA, the makers of LYCRA brand fiber presented some of its buzzing consumer relevant innovations at Galleria Intima.

Key innovations presented by INVISTA at the event were LYCRA BEAUTY fabric for cotton rich shapewear, LYCRA FREEF!T fabric  with Breathability and No Ride Up for men’s Underwear and THERMOLITE fabric for lightweight thermals.

The intimate apparel market is evolving at a very fast rate and consumers have become more aware of the global trends and fashions. The evolution of technology focused upon these consumers’ evolving needs has enabled INVISTA to offer appropriate solutions to the industry.

In order to address this changing scenario, Mr Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head – South Asia, INVISTA- South Asia and Mr Varun Kappor, Segment Marketing Manager – INVISTA- South Asia took the audience through “Consumer centric innovations for intimate apparel” in a widely applauded seminar.

Commenting on the event, Avinash said “We are glad to be a part of this unique initiative organized by IAAI. This is a great platform to engage with a pool of leading manufacturers, retail brands & some prominent names of fashion industry.

"Our participation in Galleria Intima reiterates our commitment towards the industry and towards creating more value for the end consumer through breakthrough innovations. Our core objective is to understand the needs and demands of consumers and create products to meet these demands. Our deep understanding of the apparel industry backed by extensive research has helped us in introduction of the innovations that we offer.”

He further added, “Indian male consumer is also becoming increasingly choosy for his underwear and is looking for All Day Comfort. This is the driving force behind LYCRA FREEF!T fabric, which we have launched recently in India and we have received encouraging response from the industry.”

After seeing LYCRA FREEF!T fabric collection developed by INVISTA with PrismKnit Fab (Kolkata), Mr Sunil Pathare, Managing Director, VIP Industries experessed “I am delighted to see the interesting devlopments on men’s underwear through  LYCRA FREEF!T fabric platform. These fabrics address key male consumer need of All Day Comfort”.

Recently launched LYCRA BEAUTY fabric for cotton rich shapewear caught the interest of key Industry leaders like Mr Rakesh Grover, Managing Director, Groversons and Mr Sanjay Dawar, Managing Director, Bodycare Creations Private Limited.

It sparked their imagination towards shaping garments for Indian market in the near future. INVISTA also sparked the imagination of the industry for lightweight thermal-wear garments through THERMOLITE fabric and presented Indian market study results.

The study revealed that the main pain point of the consumer is the bulkiness of thermal-wear and most of the garments available in the market place today are thick, bulky and uncomfortable. The fabric collection developed on the THERMOLITE fabric platform aims to solve this maoin consumer pain point and give lightweight warmth without adding bulky layers.

The other innovations presented by INVISTA were Easy Set LYCRA fiber for whiter whites, brighter colours & improved hand-feel in molded bras and COOLMAX fabric for moisture management in innerwear.
