MEG prices plunge in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton.
 
PTA prices dipped in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1070/ton to US$ 1075/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1075/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1075/ton to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7725/ton to RMB 7775/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1230/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international and domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1480/ton and €1185/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1095/ton to US$ 1100/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1490/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1440/ton and US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1480/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1440/ton and US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted at RMB 10125/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9575/ton to RMB 9625/ton.
 
PSF prices dipped in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1465/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1365/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 10290/ton to RMB 10330/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 10750/ton, RMB 12250/ton, and RMB 10800/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY declined and were quoted at US$ 1445/ton, US$ 1640/ton, and US$ 1435/ton, respectively.
