Over 170 exhibitors to show at Interstoff Asia Essential

Co-organised by fair organiser Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), the revamped Designers’ Studio will showcase the latest sportswear and outdoor wear made from functional fabrics.

Five designers – Chin Chen, Ming-yu Tsai, Owen Chen, Goji Lin and Lindsey Lin – and three fashion brands – FN.ICE, Eversmile and Advance Hitech Textile Intl Corp – from Taiwan are taking part this year. They have designed garments in three categories: functional & casual sportswear, functional designer apparel and trendy brand-name apparel.

This year’s Research and Education Zone has increased in size by 25% compared to 2012. Featuring displays from the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) and the Thailand Textile Institute (THTi), this zone also includes the participation of Shinshu University from Japan for the first time.

Here, visitors can find the latest industry technology including Nu-Torque cotton yarn production technology, a fabric touch tester, an energy management system for textile production, silk fabric for electromagnetic shielding and much more.

New priority immigration lane at airport for show participants

Participants in this year’s fair are eligible to use a special priority lane at immigration counters 23 and 38 in the level 5 arrival hall of Hong Kong International Airport. These counters are open from 7am – 8pm, September 23 – 26. To use this service, a fair admission badge, fair promotional materials or relevant registration documents need to be presented.
