POY, DTY & FDY prices inch down in Chinese export market

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1460/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1055/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market stayed stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1385/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1235/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 54.00 cents/pound to 54.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed stable in the European international market at US$ 1440/ton, while they declined in the domestic market to €1115/ton.
 
MEG prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1075/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 7800/ton to RMB 7825/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were stable-to-soft in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton, while talked prices were assessed between US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices dipped and were assessed at RMB 9925/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 9450/ton to RMB 9500/ton.
 
PSF prices fell in the Asian region. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 10150/ton to RMB 10200/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 10500/ton and RMB 10650/ton respectively, while prices of DTY remained stable at RMB 12250/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY inched down to US$ 1455/ton, US$ 1695/ton, and US$ 1460/ton, respectively.
