Chinese ACN price declines marginally last week

The average price of Acrylonitrile (ACN) declined marginally by 0.36 percent in the Chinese domestic market during the week ending September 21, compared to the average price registered in the fortnight ending September 15.
The average ACN price in the Chinese domestic market was assessed at RMB 13700/ton in the week ending September 21 compared to the average price of RMB 13750/ton observed during the first fortnight of the current month.
In Far East and Southeast Asian markets, ACN prices remained stable at around US$ 1850/ton last week, due to lack of buying activities owing to holidays in some Asian markets on account of Mid-autumn festival.
In European markets, too, ACN Prices remained steady due to dull demand and average price was US$ 1815/ton in the last week.
In the US market, however, average ACN price rose marginally by 0.28 percent to US$ 1780/ton last week, compared to the average price of US$ 1775/ton in the fortnight ending September 15.
On September 23, ACN prices remained stable in Far East and Southeast Asian markets.
