PX prices swell in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices swelled in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1470/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton.

PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1065/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7650/ton to RMB 7700/ton.

Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were assessed in the range of 51.50 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international and domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1440/ton and €1115/ton, respectively.

MEG prices swelled in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7850/ton to RMB 7900/ton.

In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted at RMB 9925/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices followed a stable trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
