Ethylene prices plunge in US market

Paraxylene (PX) prices swelled in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1480/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1495/ton to US$ 1500/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 7625/ton to RMB 7675/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dipped and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international and domestic market, and were assessed at US$ 1380/ton and €1105/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1060/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7800/ton to RMB 7850/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed at RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9325/ton to RMB 9375/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dipped and were quoted in the range of RMB 10050/ton to RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY plunged and were assessed at RMB 10200/ton, RMB 12050/ton, and RMB 10475/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY dipped and were quoted at US$ 1415/ton, US$ 1675/ton, and US$ 1445/ton, respectively.
