PTA prices swell in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1440/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton.

PTA prices surged in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices swelled and were quoted in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1050/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1040/ton to US$ 1045/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 7600/ton to RMB 7650/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1300/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 50.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international and domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton and €1090/ton, respectively.

MEG prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7800/ton to RMB 7850/ton.

In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1410/ton and US$ 1450/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1450/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1400/ton and US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted at RMB 9800/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1340/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 9275/ton to RMB 9325/ton.
