Ethylene prices decline in European markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1450/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1050/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7600/ton to RMB 7650/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1300/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 47.50 cents/pound to 48.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1350/ton and €1075/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices were assessed at US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 7800/ton to RMB 7850/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, and some deals were discussed between US$ 1370/ton and US$ 1410/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1380/ton and US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 9275/ton to RMB 9325/ton.
