After marking the anniversary of the first decade (10th Edition) in May 2013, PERFORMANCE DAYS is preparing for the next major milestone.

The growth rate of the next scheduled trade fair is in the double digits and interest is greater than ever. With so much success, the response is clear: Expansion - Hall 5 at the MTC will be open for the first time for PERFORMANCE DAYS from November 19-21, 2013!

"PERFORMANCE DAYS can no longer be ignored," exclaimed trade fair organizer Weichert and Senior Project Manager Stefanie Sacherow talking about their continuing success. Once again, all the gears have been set in motion for the eleventh edition of this unique trade fair for functional fabrics and materials to provide an even more exciting event.

The result is that from November 19-21, 2013, visitors can expect a greater number of exhibitors, an exhibit area expanded by an entire hall, high quality new additions, an extended PERFORMANCE FORUM, and various environmental highlights!

Environmental awareness in focus

The next PERFORMANCE DAYS is even more dedicated to environmental issues and this applies to the exhibitors as well as the trade fair itself.

The environment has always been a topic of interest for the visitors to the trade fair and consequently, the PERFORMANCE DAYS exhibitors have been absolute trailblazers in environmental issues. Right from the start, bluesign recognized the benefits of this trade fair as a business platform.

The environmental aspect is much more than a statement of intent: Data for the next edition in November 2013 shows an incredible 42% of the exhibitors are offering bluesign-certified materials, and overall, 65% of the exhibitors claim to produce sustainable products! By the way, all these exhibitors are specially marked in the Trade Fair Catalog as well as in the online "Exhibitors List" and the "Product Library" and can be sorted according to the key criteria "sustainable" and "bluesign."

Furthermore, PERFORMANCE DAYS, as an industry trade fair, acknowledges its duty to comply with its "green" conscience: For the first time, organizers are measuring and computing the CO² emissions generated by the event. The project is being performed under a specific framework for textiles by the Munich Company ClimatePartner and the results will be announced in a presentation on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 3:00 p.m.

The idea works like this: Every company that seeks advice from ClimatePartner can compensate for its "CO²-debt" through participation in various partner projects and, in this way, contribute toward making the world a greener place. PERFORMANCE DAYS is compensating through a climate protection project that supports a textile manufacturing plant in India, which produces its energy using biomass.
