Stork Prints demonstrated its unrivalled expertise in rotary screen and digital UV inkjet printing for labels and packaging at the Labelexpo Europe, 24-27 September in Brussels. The company also celebrated its 50 years of innovation at the Labelexpo.

It is 50 years ago that Stork Prints introduced the very first rotary screen, causing a revolution in the printing industry. Great product demos, samples and a happy hour every day showed visitors the advantages of Stork Print’s total system solutions first hand.

Sales

Stork Prints DSI UV inkjet system is a well established brand in the inkjet printing industry. During Labelexpo, 3 sales were added to our worldwide installed base. Customers in Spain, Germany and Russia bought the DSI with inline converting.

Bas Hoijtink, Commercial Manager Stork Prints:”We are very pleased with the great number of international visitors and the enthusiasm they showed for our products and company. Happily that enthusiasm resulted in substantial sales for both our rotary screen and inkjet printing portfolio. That shows that our renowned total system solutions approach is fitting to current market demands and trends.”

Inkjet trail

Stork Prints participated in the official Labelexpo Inkjet Trail showing our printed labels for Pharma, Food and Industrial sectors. Unlike some other manufacturers Stork Prints followed the exact specifications of the Inkjet Trail in terms of image design and materials. Bas Hoijtink: “We stand 100% behind our DSI system so we had full confidence that the labels would turn out great, without bending the rules of the Inkjet Trail, as some other companies did. Our clients and visitors remarked that our labels had the best print quality they had seen during the Trail.”

The Inkjet Trail gave the company the opportunity to demonstrate simple CMYK designs and more complex jobs which included screen-type effects, high colour strength and tonal values down to one percent. Stork Prints’ customers were impressed by these features and the versatility of the DSI on a range of applications and substrates.

New! variLEX direct laser exposer

Stork Prints presented the innovation in digital exposing, a hybrid direct laser exposer for digital pre-press. The new system is called the variLEX, referring to its versatility in product applications, such as rotary screens, flexo and dry offset plates. Visitors were impressed with machine’s top quality exposing and productivity.

Overal, Labelexpo was a very good show for Stork Prints and a great opportunity to show its graphics printing portfolio and re-connect with clients and other business relations.
