MEG prices swell in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian market. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of 47.50 cents/pound to 48.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton and €1010/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1020/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices swelled and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers maintained a steady trend at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9325/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices decreased in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 8900/ton to RMB 8950/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1510/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dipped and were quoted in the range of RMB 9775/ton to RMB 9825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained unchanged and were quoted at RMB 10025/ton, RMB 11900/ton, and RMB 10150/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable at US$ 1400/ton, US$ 1665/ton, and US$ 1405/ton, respectively.
