Melbourne to host 13th China textiles expo from Nov 13

The city of Melbourne in the Australian state of Victoria is set to host the 13th edition of the International China Clothing and Textiles Expo from November 13 to 15, 2013, at the Melbourne Exhibition Center.

The three-day event, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT), would have over 250 Chinese and international manufacturers and suppliers who would be showcasing products under the categories such as clothing, garment accessories, fabrics and home textiles.

The expo serves as an ideal platform for visitors to exchange information regarding latest trends in the textile and apparel sector, and the participating firms would also get the opportunity to devise strategies for more effective order placement of their products, by attending the various seminars held during the event.

The exhibitors at the three-day event would display various products under the clothing category such as menswear, womenswear, kidswear, sleepwear, intimate apparel, activewear/sportswear, formal and eveningwear, swimwear, overcoats, jackets and workwear; under the fabrics category would showcase goods such as knits, cottons, synthetics, prints, silks, wool, linen and eco friendly ranges; under the fashion accessories products like scarves, ties, gloves, and socks would be displayed and under the home textiles category, goods such as towels, quilts, sheets, bedding, home furnishing, throws, curtains and napery would be showcased.

The event is organized with the support of Jiangsu and Shandong provincial governments of China, and would be held parallel alongside the Australian International Sourcing Fair (AISF), which is also scheduled to be held during the same days at the Melbourne exhibition center. The AISF expo is a sourcing fair providing an opportunity for Australian manufacturers and retailers of various products including textiles and apparel to connect with international manufacturers for business purposes.
