Methanex announces methanol contract prices for November

Methanex, the world's largest supplier of methanol to major international markets, has announced its regional contract methanol prices for North America and Asia Pacific. The company had earlier announced its regional contract methanol price for Europe.
For the North American region, non-discounted reference price from November 1-30, 2013, would be US$ 1.80/Gal or US$ 599/mt, up from US$ 549/mt last month.
Similarly, for the Asia-Pacific region, the contract price would be US$ 520/mt, for the period November 1-30, 2013, up from price of US$ 490/ton for October, according to the company’s website.
The company has earlier raised its European contract price for Methanol from Euro 390/mt to Euro 408/mt for October 1-December 31, 2013 period.
Methanol is an organic chemical that is used in the textile industry in manufacturing processes.
