BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to introduce the BERNINA 560 (B 560) and BERNINA Embroidery Software 7. The newest addition to the 5 Series line of machines, the B 560 has an optional embroidery module and features that make it an excellent entry point for the creative sewist interested in embroidery, including compatibility with BERNINA's DesignWorks Software Suite.

The latest version of BERNINA's powerful embroidery software is the new BERNINA Embroidery Software 7. With its Three-Dimensional (3-D) effects, Software 7 offers the chance for sewists to enjoy embroidery software on a whole new level.

Additionally, BERNINA is pleased to announce that the BERNINA 580 (B 580) now comes standard with the BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR). The patented and easy-to-use BSR helps maintain an even and consistent stitch length at any speed using sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the materials moving past the needle while regulating the length of the stitch.

"These latest additions to our 5 Series line are sure to please discerning sewists who are looking for expanded embroidery capabilities," said Paul Ashworth, President of BERNINA of America. "The B 560 provides creative sewists with a great set of tools and plenty of upgradable features as they pursue their passion for embroidery. With the addition of the BSR, the extremely versatile B 580 becomes an enhanced tool for the seasoned quilter or thread painter who is ready to unleash their creative freedom. The BERNINA Embroidery Software 7, with 3-D effects, allows the user to turn their original ideas into a reality."

B 560

The B 560 features a five-inch high-resolution color touch screen to navigate its wide range of features and functions. It features a simple yet classic design that sewists will appreciate, along with 476 total stitch patterns, an automatic thread cutter and a stitch width up to 9 mm. The B 560 also offers an optional embroidery module and is compatible with BERNINA's cutting edge software, DesignWorks.

The DesignWorks Software Suite features the CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork components that can transform the B 560 from an embroidery machine into a mixed media tool. With CutWork, shapes, patterns and designs can be cut from multiple layers of fabric.

PaintWork allows the application of pen drawings to fabric and textiles. CrystalWork gives the ability to create crystal appliqué patterns for textiles and garments. The B 560 is now available at authorized BERNINA Dealers nationwide.

B 580

The B 580 is the most versatile of the 5 Series line and packed with features, that now include a BSR and an accessory box for presser feet as standard accessories. The B 580's embroidery function and 100 built-in embroidery designs that can be mirrored, rotated, combined and scaled in size on the machine's large color touch screen enhance any embroiderer's experience.
