Russia's Ivanovo to host 'Textile Salon 2013' from Nov 22

The Russian city of Ivanovo is all set to host the 21st edition of the international textile and fashion fair, one of the major events of the domestic fashion industry of the country, ‘Textile Salon 2013’ from November 22 to 23, 2013.
 
According to a statement issued by the Department of Economic Development and Trade of Ivanovo Region, the international textile fair is organized by the regional public organization club ‘Working Girl’, the government of Ivanovo region, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, along with the support of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Garment Industry of Ivanovo and the National Academy of Fashion Industry (TITLE).
 
The main objective of the event is to foster the domestic market of the fashion sector in order to provide opportunities for the establishment of business relations between managers and specialists of textile and garment enterprises with researchers of universities, research institutes, and designers to increase the competitiveness of the sector.
 
The two-day event would include activities such as competitions for various designers and textile entrepreneurs to present new patterns of clothing, especially in the industrial and school uniforms category.  Participants at the fair would also be given the opportunity to display various textile and apparel products. 
 
Under the event, the organizers would also host the ‘Fashion Lab’, a professional competition for tailors where participants would be competing for the best home-tailored clothing collections. 
 
Several seminars on new and emerging fashion and textile trends would also be held parallel to the event where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas regarding the latest trends and technologies in garment manufacturing.
