Ethylene prices plunge in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices followed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
Ethylene prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1305/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices rose and were quoted in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices decreased in the European international as well as domestic market and were offered at US$ 1235/ton and € 975/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1045/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices surged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET Chip prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were between US$ US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices surged and were quoted at RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices decreased in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8900/ton to RMB 8950/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1505/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9775/ton to RMB 9825/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY increased at RMB 10200/ton, RMB 10225/ton, while prices of DTY remained stable at RMB 11900/ton. In the export market, prices of POY and FDY surged at US$ 1425/ton and US$ 1415/ton, while prices of DTY remained unchanged at US$ 1660/ton.
