OKI Data introduced a new category of digital printing technology in September 2013 called the Multimedia Production Platform (MPP). The MPP is a series of production-quality A3 color devices with innovative features and functionality that will revolutionize the office and commercial printing industries. These new products go far beyond the capabilities of traditional digital color printers, adding game-changing media handling that includes transparent media, magnets, banners and heavyweight cardstock.
Within the MPP category is the new C900 Series which features groundbreaking digital colour products -- one of which has an industry-first LED five station toner configuration that supports white or clear spot colour printing capabilities. Of this new series, OKI will be demonstrating the C941dn and the C931dn.
The C941dn is the first LED printer in its class to offer white or clear printing and other productivity-enhancing capabilities with an available EFI Fiery XF server. In addition to the C941dn, OKI will be exhibiting the C931dn digital colour printer that offers full colour, high resolution printing capabilities, and handles a wide range of media for maximum output flexibility at a low total cost of ownership. The C931dn also supports an optional EFI Fiery XF server.
"OKI Data is excited to attend Graphics Canada and demonstrate its new game-changing digital printing devices with capabilities beyond those of traditional digital colour printers," said Mario Pallotta, General Manager, Canada at Oki Data Americas, Inc. "As technology continues to advance, OKI remains dedicated to providing innovative printing solutions to meet the emerging needs of graphics, printing and integrated communications industries."
In addition to the C900 series devices, OKI will exhibit the C711WT High Definition (HD) digital colour printer; its straight-through paper path delivers results conventionally associated with expensive manual printing processes. With its impressive media handling capabilities, the C711WT prints breathtaking colour plus white on transfer sheets that can be used with a wide variety of substrates -- including textiles.
The Graphics Canada 2013 tradeshow is Canada's largest showcase for the graphic communications and printing industries. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Graphics Canada brings together top competitors to discuss and demonstrate the latest and most innovative solutions for tomorrow's graphic communication industry.
All OKI Data products are built on parent company OKI Data Corporation's history of leadership and innovation. Most of OKI Data's colour printing solutions feature Single Pass Color as well as proprietary digital LED and HD Color technologies. These technologies allow OKI Data Americas to manufacture products that require fewer moving parts for increased reliability and outstanding colour output quality.
