Sri Lanka to host 2nd Taiwan Textile Fair from Nov 26

The second edition of the Taiwan Textile Fairs South Asia 2013 organized by the Taiwanese Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), which recently concluded in India, is all set to begin at the Sri Lankan capital city of Colombo from November 26, 2013.

According to the TTF WorldexIndia website, leading Taiwanese manufacturers of textiles and clothing accessories would be showcasing their cutting edge, high performance, trendy and contemporary products to the buyers attending the fair in Colombo.

The two-day fair is considered to be an important sourcing platform for textile and garment manufacturers, importers, exporters, buyers, merchandisers and retailers across India and Sri Lanka for their sourcing requirements.

Around 14-15 Taiwanese textile and apparel manufacturers would be exhibiting their products at the fair, where Sri Lankan textiles manufacturers would get the opportunity to source superior, exclusive and unique fabrics and yarns that will add substantially to their product range, in addition to introducing them to new product categories in the sector.

Taiwanese exhibitors participating in the event would be showcasing a variety of products ranging from sports apparel, knitwear, jerseys, mesh and brushed fabrics, knitted and woven fabrics, lingerie, beachwear, homewear, nightwear, sportswear, thermal and innerwear fabrics as well as functional fabrics, outdoor apparel fabrics, sportswear fabrics, recycled polyester yarn and fabric, spandex fabric, textured yarn and high performance fabric.

The two-day fair is organized by Taiwan’s BOTF and TTF with support from Worldex India Exhibition and Promotion Pvt. Ltd., the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) and the Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association (SLAEA).
