Japan-based Mitsui Chemicals is still operating its Osaka-based naphtha cracker at 85 percent of its production capacity due to lack of demand.

The naphtha cracker was shut for maintenance turnaround in September this year and was restarted last month.

Since then, the cracker is operating at 85 percent of its production capacity of 450,000 mt/year, owing to lower demand, according to a company official.
