PTA prices drop in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went up and were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 980/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 7200/ton to RMB 7250/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1300/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were steady in the European international as well as in domestic market and were offered at US$ 1205/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices rose in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1025/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady between US$ 1360/ton and US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were steady and were quoted at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were steady in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9175/ton to RMB 9225/ton.
 
PSF prices stayed stable trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1505/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9725/ton to RMB 9775/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market,prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 9950/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept inert at RMB 11700/ton and RMB 10075/ton. In the export market, offers for POY declined to US$ 1385/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained steady at US$ 1630/ton and US$ 1390/ton.
