An exhibition, featuring the just released first drapery and upholstery collection of the world-renowned Dutch artist Christie van der Haak, is on display at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, in the Netherlands.

Scheduled to run through May 3, 2013, the event showcases the 13-piece collection, created in collaboration with the Oklahoma-based woven fabric specialist S. Harris, based on the paintings of the Hague artist.

The exhibit includes 10 upholstery patterns named as Calina, Casia, Cornel, Dana, Mira, Mira Metallic, Naila, Nicolaas, Olivier and Phillip and three drapery patterns including Bastiaan, Hendrik and Marscha.

Inspired from multiple sources, such as the 1920s and 30s designs, English textile designer William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement, the patterns are replete with colorful graphics, whimsical complementary chenille and modern drapery designs.

The home textile display is part of the Dutch art museum’s ongoing White Delft pottery exhibition.

Founded in 1906, the world’s leading supplier of fine textiles S. Harris specializes in high-end contemporary, designer fabrics.
