PTA & MEG prices rise in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were offered at US$ 1420/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.    
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1010/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed sentiment in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were steady and quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1315/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were steady in the European international as well as in European domestic markets and were assessed at US$ 1205/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices rose and were offered at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices jumped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7675/ton to RMB 7725/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were offered at RMB 9550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices dropped and were offered in the range of RMB 9075/ton to RMB 9125/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$1505/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9725/ton to RMB 9775/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY stayed steady at RMB 9950/ton, RMB 11700/ton, and RMB 10075/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained unchanged at US$ 1385/ton, US$ 1630/ton, and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
