Bolivia, a landlocked country located in central South America, and the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam have agreed to cooperate in the textile sector.

During his meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales, the visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam D. Vu Van Mih suggested that the cooperation between Vietnam and Bolivia could be further increased in the field of textiles, gas and minerals.

There are many areas for collaboration and cooperation between Bolivia and Vietnam, for example, Bolivia has vast experience in gas and minerals sector, while Vietnam has a flourishing textile and garment industry, where cooperation can be intensified, Mr. Van Mih said after his meeting with the Bolivian President, according to a press release from the Office of the Bolivian President.

"We agreed to continue working to strengthen our relations and strengthen cooperation to bring development to our two countries," the release quoted Mr. Van Mih as saying.

The visiting Vietnamese leader said that Bolivia has made great socio-economic progress under the leadership of President Morales, which have brought benefits to the Bolivian people, and have improved their quality of life.
