Azerbaijani firms to partake in Indian garments fair

A group of Azerbaijani businessmen have been approached to participate in the next edition of the Indian garments and textile fair, Tex-Trends 2014, which is scheduled to be held in the capital city of New Delhi in India, from January 20 to 22, according to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

According to the Ministry, the participation at the Tex-Trends India fair would allow Azerbaijani businessmen to explore new markets by showcasing their apparel products in the country, reports Azerbaijani news agency APA.

The Tex-Trends 2014 fair is an initiative of the Indian Ministry of Textiles and the Apparel Export Promotion Council of India (AEPC), the country’s apex body for apparel export promotion. The unique fair brings together the best in Indian garments, accessories, fabrics, home furnishings, Indian handicrafts, jute and carpets—all under one roof.

The three-day fair would feature more than 1,000 exhibitors displaying diverse range of products from the apparel and textiles sector of the country.

Exhibitors at the fair would showcase various products including womenswear, menswear, kidswear, casual wear, city wear, high fashion and occasional wear, lingerie, specialty garments, sportswear, knitwear, home furnishings, linen, floor mats, curtains, synthetic and rayon fabrics, cotton fabrics, woolen fabrics, textile-based handicrafts, handmade silk, art silk, silk sarees, and more.
