MEG prices increase in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices jumped and were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton.
 
PTA prices maintained a steady trend in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1330/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1270/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in the Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7875/ton to RMB 7925/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET chip prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were discussed at US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable at US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9100/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$1510/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged in the range of RMB 9900/ton to RMB 9950/ton.
 
In the Chinesedomestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined and were quoted at RMB 9900/ton while DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged at RMB 11700/ton and RMB 10175/ton. In the export market, prices of POY plunged and were quoted at US$ 1385/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1635/ton and US$ 1410/ton.
