Polyester FDY prices surge in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1435/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1445/ton.
 
PTA prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1005/ton. PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1350/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international market, whereas it remained stable in the domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1255/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices surged in Asian markets.  In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1047/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 7750/ton to RMB 7800/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9025/ton to RMB 9075/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY remained unchanged at RMB 9900/ton, RMB 11700/ton, while FDY prices increased by RMB 10225/ton. In the export market, prices of POY and DTY remained unchanged at US$ 1385/ton and US$ 1635/ton, respectively, while FDY prices surged at US$ 1410/ton.
