The risk associated with the upsurge in online shopping consumers can be greatly reduced by opting for insurance.
 
One option is the ‘return shipping insurance’, which can be bought by paying a premium, and the insurance company bears the return shipping costs.
 
In this case, consumers can choose seven days or no reason to return their merchandise, and the return shipping costs are borne by the insurance companies, thus minimizing risk of online shopping.
 
In case of home textile products, online sales companies can choose a ‘textile quality insurance’ to reduce the risk. Here, consumers can choose products from third-party certified online merchants, who provide photograph of textile products and the product information page while placing an order.
 
The product information page has details about quality and in case of a product quality dispute, consumers can apply for identification, and based on the results, the insurance company can give the refund.
