PTA prices decline in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1395/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dipped and were assessed at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 7100/ton to RMB 7150/ton.
 
Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1325/ton and € 995/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dipped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chip prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9425/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9100/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY decreased by RMB 9750/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged at RMB 11500/ton and RMB 10450/ton. In the export market, prices of POY declined and were quoted at US$ 1365/ton, while DTY and FDY prices plunged and were assessed at at US$ 1620/ton and US$ 1460/ton, respectively.
