Ethylene prices increase in Europe; fall in US

Paraxylene (PX) prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were assessed at US$ 1355/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1395/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 970/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6875/ton to RMB 6920/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in the Asian market. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1485/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international and as well as in the domestic market and were offered at US$ 1350/ton and € 1010/ton, respectively.
 
In the   S E Asian region, MEG price dipped and were assessed at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chip prices were steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined and were assessed at RMB 9250/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices were stable in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9100/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were quoted at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11500/ton and RMB 10400/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained steady and were offered at US$ 1365/ton, US$ 1610/ton and US$ 1450/ton, respectively.
