Nearly 1,350 firms participated at the leading international fair for carpets and floor coverings ‘Domotex 2014’, which concluded recently at the Hannover Exhibition Center, in the German state of Lower Saxony.

According to the Domotex website, over 1,350 carpet and floor covering firms from 57 different nations exhibited their new and innovative products at the four-day trade show, organized by Deutsche Messe.

Jochen Kockler, member of the Deutsche Messe managing board, said Domotex 2014 delivered an impressive performance thanks to its uniquely international appeal, and high attendance, with nearly 45,000 visitors from 80 nations attending the show.

The huge array of invitingly cozy carpets, sophisticated parquet and laminate flooring, stylish designer floor coverings, and masterful hand-woven rugs on display sported captivating designs and an astounding variety of materials, colors and patterns which all testify to the highly innovative spirit of the international floor coverings industry—an industry which is clearly in great shape for the upcoming season, he added.

Carpet manufacturers from the Turkish city of Gaziantep, which is the main carpet production center of Turkey also participated in the four-day show and presented their latest and innovative products at the show.

Exhibitors at the Domotex trade fair showcased various products including hand-made and woven carpets and rugs, textile floor coverings, resilient floor coverings, as well as raw materials such as fibres, yarns and textiles.

The next edition of the Domotex fair is scheduled to be held from January 17 to 20, 2015.
