Ethylene & MEG prices decline in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept stable and were offered at US$ 1290/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1315/ton.
 
PTA prices stayed steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were offered at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 6975/ton to RMB 7025/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered at US$ 1475/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 57.00 cents/pound to 58.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices also plunged in the European international and as well as in the domestic market and were offered at US$ 1290/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices dropped in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG price declined and were quoted at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7275/ton to RMB 7325/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were assessed at RMB 9050/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9650/ton to RMB 9700/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices plunged and were quoted at RMB 9550/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10200/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY decreased to US$ 1335/ton, US$ 1595/ton, and US$ 1420/ton, respectively.
