Idemitsu Kosan to shut aromatics plant for maintenance

Japan-based Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. is planning to shut its aromatics plant at Chiba for maintenance turnaround this year.
“The plant is likely to be closed for maintenance in July 2014, and the maintenance work will take around 50 days,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The aromatics plant has a capacity to produce 265,000 mt/year of PX, 570,000 mt/year of benzene, and 353,000 mt/year of MX.
“The aromatics plant is currently operating at 100 percent capacity,” the official further informed.
