Ethylene prices plunge in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1310/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1335/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6750/ton.
 
Ethylene prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dipped and were quoted in the range of 57.50 cents/pound to 58.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7280/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1420/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9625/ton to RMB 9675/ton.
 
In Chinese domesticmarket, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9550/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10200/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1335/ton, US$ 1595/ton, and US$ 1420/ton, respectively.
