MEG prices surge in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 1275/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1315/ton.
 
PTA prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 955/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 950/ton to US$ 955/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6750/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were assessed in the range of 58.50 cents/pound to 59.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1265/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price surged and were quoted at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7250/ton to RMB 7280/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 9025/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
