Jan '14
According to show organizers for the trade show, a biannual exhibition hosted by the World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nev., the winter 2014 Market is starting strong and in position to be one of the most flourishing in its eight-year run.

Bob Maricich, Chief Executive Officer, International Market Centers, said the Las Vegas Market is experiencing growth that is unmatched in today’s industry. “This winter we will build upon our success over the last six months,” Maricich said. “Focusing not only on adding depth where we have delivered breadth of resources and attendance, but also increasing the aesthetics and market experience for participants.

After the last Las Vegas Market, held Summer 2013, it was noted to be one of the most successful summer Market in years; according to the Las Vegas Market Preview, there was a 31 percent increase in buyer attendance over the previous year.

So, this year, the 2014 Winter Vegas Market has made sure to make some ample additions and changes to the trade show, in order to keep up with success and popularity, including:
-Added nearly 900 thousand square feet of new and expanded home furnishings showrooms, categories and products.
-1.1 million square feet of new and expanded showrooms, categories and products spanning furniture, home décor and gift.
-More than 1,200 new and expanded exhibitors and lines representing the total home experience.
-Thousands of new product introductions.
-More fashion forward resources than ever before.

The Las Vegas Market, currently running through Jan. 30, has more than 2 thousand total exhibitors and lines that fill more than 5 million square feet of space in three buildings. Maricich has said in a recent interview that the Market has “reached a critical mass of exhibitors, strategically focusing on complementary product categories and organizing like-minded companies together.”

Exhibitors that Littman Bros has their eyes on this year in the lighting categories are exciting new collections and lines from Elk Lighting, Uttermost and Kalco Lighting, just to name a few.

According to lasvegasmarket.com, a new and quite unique aspect of the current Las Vegas Market is the addition of the three new themed product destinations on its temporary floors – Veranda, which focuses on outdoor and casual home furnishings; Gallery, a display of better home textile resources; and Fashion, a grouping of personal care and fashion accessories. These new categories are “designed to both add depth to the temporary exhibits as well as facilitate cross-category shopping.”

Littman Bros Lighting is looking forward to the unique, high-quality resources presented at the Las Vegas Market and the new designs to come out of it – the representatives of the Market consider this year to be an “ever-growing wealth of innovation and inspiration, and an even more heightened and unified buying experience."
