Around 50 international exhibitors from the US, Asia and South America showcased the latest trends in denim fabrics and denimwear at the recently held January 2014 edition of the Kingpins New York show, an invitation only boutique denim supply and sourcing trade expo.

Buyers had the opportunity to source latest spring/summer 2015 trends in denimwear, denim fabrics and washings, from various domestic and international manufacturers and retailers, including Invista, US-based Cone Denim, Italian denim brand Candiani, Japanese denim-maker Kurabo and Europe based denim manufacturer Tavex.

Several seminars were also organized during the show for visitors to get the opportunity to understand the evolution of denim as well as the key trends and developments in the denim and denim-related sector for the spring/summer 2015 season. Italian denim maker Candiani and US-based Cone Denim Mills hosted a seminar with the aim of letting visitors explore how the concept of ‘Premium Denim’ evolved over the years.

Eight Taiwanese denim manufacturers also participated in the denim trade show under the aegis of the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), and showcased their latest trends in denim sector for the spring/summer 2015 season.

Taiwanese local denim-makers such as 496 Fabric Lab, Ourtex Industrial Co., Tai Yuan Textile Co., Quing-Tong Co., Merryson Corp., Hans Global Textile Corp., Cheng Shiang Industrial Co., and Handsel Tex Industrial Corp., exhibited their spring/summer 2015 denim collections at the two-day show.

The participation was organized by TTF in order to enhance the image of Taiwanese denim sector in the international market, and create a presence amongst global denim brands, with the intention of establishing business contacts with them.

The Kingpins denim show is a boutique trade event organized in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong annually. During the New York edition of the show, organizers of the event also announced plans of launching the show in the city of Amsterdam in May 2014.
