Castilla businessmen form textile export group in Spain

The Regional Federation of Employers of Textile and Clothing of the Spanish autonomous community of Castilla La Mancha have constituted an Export Group, with the intention of positioning textile manufacturers from the region in international markets.

According to a statement issued by the Regional Confederation of Entrepreneurs (CECAM) of Castilla La Mancha, the idea of constituting an Export Group is to explore and find new markets for textile products of the region.

The Export Group consists of textile and clothing manufacturers from Castilla La Mancha that are currently exporting their products in international markets as well as enterprises who wish to start exporting goods.

At the constitution of the group, Felix Belido, president of the Regional Federation of Employers of Textile and Clothing, said the objective of the group is to work collaboratively towards increasing foreign trade through export of various products.

The enterprises in the Export Group would be engaging in promotional activities through participating in international fairs, exhibitions, and study missions to other markets, which can be useful and advantageous in increasing their sales, he added.

During the first meeting of the group, representatives of textile enterprises shared their experiences as well as long-term and short-term strategies in the area of foreign trade.

In the coming weeks, the Regional Federation of Employers of Textile and Clothing would be setting a roadmap for this group with the aim of increasing the number of textile enterprises engaging in exporting their products.
