MEG prices decline in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.
 
PTA prices dipped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price declined and were quoted at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 6200/ton to RMB 6250/ton.
 
Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and quoted in the range off US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1410/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices jumped in the European international whereas it remained stable in domestic market and were assessed at US$ 1275/ton and € 950/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were assessed at US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips declined in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8350/ton to RMB 8400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
PSF prices dipped in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined and were quoted at RMB 9075/ton, RMB 9550/ton while DTY prices remained unchanged at RMB 11100/ton. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY plunged and were assessed at US$ 1240/ton, US$ 1525/ton, and US$ 1300/ton, respectively.
