PX & MEG prices increase in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1235/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged increased and were quoted at US$ 1210/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price declined and were quoted at US$ 880/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 6200/ton to RMB 6250/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices decreased in the European international market to US$ 1260/ton and they kept steady in European domestic market at € 935/ton.
 
MEG prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices kept inert in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1310/ton and US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8350/ton to RMB 8400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 9125/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were assessed at RMB 9000/ton, RMB 11000/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY decreased to US$ 1225/ton, US$ 1505/ton, and US$ 1280/ton, respectively.
