Itema names Updeep Singh as new Indian MD

Itema announced organizational changes in Itema Weaving (India) Pvt Ltd with the appointment of Mr. Updeep Singh as the new Managing Director, succeeding Mr. Tapas Nandi.

Itema is the leading global provider of advanced weaving solutions, including best-in-class weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services.

India is one of the top 3 most important markets for Itema globally in terms of revenue from weaving machines and a country with significant prospects for continued growth.

Updeep Singh joins Itema with broad experience as a senior executive leader in the Indian textile industry.

Mr. Singh diverse and deep expertise was matured in a number of high level positions, including, most recently, the role of Chief Operating Officer at NSL Textiles Ltd. (since 2012), as well as leadership positions in Welspun India – Asia’s largest terry towel manufacturer.
