PTA price rises in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices fell in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices dropped and were offered at US$ 1205/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1235/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price moved up and were quoted at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, prices of PTA increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6250/ton to RMB 6300/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range off US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1260/ton and € 935/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices inched up and were offered at US$ 920/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 900/ton to US$ 905/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG price surged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1310/ton and US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1150/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8025/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept inert and were assessed at RMB 9000/ton, RMB 11000/ton and RMB 9450/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY remained steady at US$ 1225/ton, US$ 1505/ton, and US$ 1280/ton, respectively.
