In Europe the energy bill has always been a crucial element in the competitiveness of textile sector.

Today companies across the whole textile & clothing value chain place more and more at the centre of their growth strategy both sustainable production and higher efficiency. This can only better suit millions of educated consumers willing to buy more sustainable products.

As the full Textile & Clothing industry accounts for almost 1 out of 10 of all the EU manufacturing companies, the economic and social impact of a more energy-efficient industry is huge.

Energy Made-to-Measure will pursue Energy Efficiency in the T&C industry until 2016 by promoting: synergies between European projects and organizations, the use of analytical tools, best practices, quality information delivered to managers, training of companies’ staff.

The actions shall ultimately enable companies to be aware of their energy saving potential, opportunities, upcoming legal obligations and financial incentives. Energy Made-to-Measure is a campaign initiated by EURATEX in collaboration with ENEA and other organizations across Europe.
